When new ductwork is part of the project
New buildings, tenant fit-outs, changes in room layout and equipment replacements that change airflow or location usually involve new or modified ductwork. Tell Air Zone what is changing in the space and which equipment the ducts will serve.
Share layouts and routes
Send floor plans, reflected ceiling plans or sketches showing where supply and return air is needed. Note ceiling heights, structural obstacles, exposed-ceiling areas where appearance matters and any rooftop runs.
Ask about duct type and insulation
Proposals should state the duct construction (for example spiral round or rectangular), insulation where required, supports, dampers, and grilles or diffusers. Ask how the duct design was sized for the equipment and spaces served.
Clarify what connects to what
Identify the equipment the ductwork connects to, roof or wall penetrations, fire-rated assemblies and who is responsible for patching and finishes. These are scope questions to settle in writing.
Send a ductwork inquiry
Include the property location, the project type, plans or photos, and your timeline. Ductwork-only repair or cleaning is outside Air Zone’s scope.
